Roland J. Behm, Esq., Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Chairperson of the Advocacy and Policy Committee.

Roland joined the AFSP Georgia board of directors in 2014. He advocates for suicide awareness and prevention in memory of his wife’s father and uncle, both of whom died by suicide. Roland received his undergraduate education at Southern Methodist University and graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1987. In 2015, Roland received the Sandy Martin Grassroots Award at AFSP’s Advocacy Forum. The award is named after Sandy Martin, a native of Cabbagetown (Atlanta) and a leader in the suicide prevention movement until her death in 2006.
