26 Jul 2022 — 1 min read

AFSP Board Members at Long Term Loss Summit
Oregon Chapter Board Members Joan, Jeana and Maili joined fellow long-term survivors of suicide loss for a weekend of connection, understanding and empowerment at the 2022 Long-Term Loss Survivors of Suicide, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Cleveland. Board Member Joan Hoff, member of the national Loss & Healing Council, spoke at several sessions.
They will bring back lessons learned, connections made, and new tools to Oregon to help reach suicide loss survivors through Healing Conversations and the International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day (ISOSLD), which will be on Saturday, November 19. Keep an eye on the Oregon Chapter webpage and social media for invitations to in-person and virtual events.
If you've lost a loved one to suicide, you're not alone. Find resources online here, or reach out to [email protected] to connect with a trained volunteer who has also experienced a suicide loss.
