The AFSP Indiana Chapter is hosting a State Capitol Day event in Indianapolis on Thursday, February 20th from 9:00am – 2:00pm. Registration is FREE, however we ask that you register in order to plan appropriately for resources and meals.

Registration closes Sunday, February 16th so don’t wait, SIGN-UP HERE: http://www.congressweb.com/afsp/signup/go/id/2EC4C970-5056-9235-142D942833F8D7E0/

The Indiana State Capitol Day event is hosted by the AFSP Indiana Chapter but is open to those outside AFSP. While we understand fully that suicide is very personal and complicated, we know that effective advocacy for thoughtful public policies can ultimately reduce the number of people in our communities who attempt and die by suicide.

Breakfast and Lunch are included for all registered participants.

This event will bring passionate advocates like yourself together to:

*Share personal stories with legislators about why suicide prevention is important to YOU and YOUR community.
*Educate state legislators about what the Indiana Chapter of AFSP is doing to prevent suicide and offer to be a resource for them throughout the year.
*Advocate to legislators and their staff on the state level policies and legislation that must be prioritized to prevent suicide.
*Build long-lasting relationships with leaders whose decisions impact our communities and will save lives in the future.

If you have questions regarding the event or would like more information please contact the Advocacy Event Coordinator, Jennifer Tackett at [email protected] or Indiana Area Director Kelsey Steuer at [email protected]

Please arrive early and plan for downtown parking and traffic.

We look forward to seeing you there!
