Rally to Prevent Suicide – Volunteers Needed!

The National Council for Suicide Prevention along with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and numerous behavioral health, military and veterans organizations are hosting the first-ever Rally to Prevent Suicide (www.rallytopreventsuicide.org) on the steps of the US Capitol on April 21, 2018 to send a message to Congress that suicide prevention needs to be a priority in the USA. Top leaders in the field of suicide prevention will be speaking along with individuals who have attempted suicide and families who have lost a loved one to suicide.
In order to make this event possible, we are looking for volunteers to help with the following responsibilities from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM on April 21, 2018:
- Handing out water
- Escorting speakers to/from stage
- Directing the crowd
- Handing out signs to participants
- Being a resource for event questions
