International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day Resources for Event Organizers
Here you will find all the information and tools you need to plan a successful International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event.
Each year, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention supports hundreds of large and small Survivor Day events around the world, in which suicide loss survivors come together to find connection, understanding and hope through their shared experience. While each event is unique and offers various programming, all feature an AFSP-produced documentary that offers a message of growth, resilience and connection.
We have divided our resources page to help you navigate your needs based on event size. If you’re a first-time visitor to this page, please don’t be overwhelmed by the available resources. The important thing to remember is that International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day has three main goals:
- AFSP provided film, individual speaker or panel of speakers
- breakouts and talking among each other
- creative healing activity, commemorative displays
For United States sites, we recommend working closely with your local AFSP chapters. To find your local chapter visit afsp.org/chapters.
