Annual Advocacy Forum
2017 Advocacy Forum: Announcing the Debut of the Virtual Forum
This year’s Advocacy Forum will take place June 12 through June 14 in Washington, D.C. Each year, the Advocacy Forum brings together AFSP Field Advocates, chapter volunteers, and staff to network, share the latest research, and engage members of Congress in discussion on important suicide prevention issues, and share AFSP’s Federal Policy Priorities.
Now, for the first time ever, anyone can join in via the Virtual Advocacy Forum. The Virtual Forum features live video from the Forum as well as simple steps you can take to tell your representatives why mental health and suicide prevention must be a legislative priority. Discussions will address funding for promising programs and research aimed at reducing the rate of suicide nationwide.
