Why have a firearms and suicide prevention program?
The firearms industry has a strong culture of safety around preventing the misuse of firearms and protecting the family.
AFSP has made a strategic decision to partner with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, as part of Project 2025. This partnership allows both organizations to embark on a first-of-its-kind national plan to build and implement public education resources for firearms retailers, shooting ranges, and the firearms-owning community about suicide prevention and firearms.
