Inside the Research
Question: Are there subgroups of firearm owners with different risk factors?
Strategy: A national survey of 2400 gun owners’ suicide risk factors, demographics, and attitudes toward firearm ownership will be collected and analyzed for up to five subgroups. Focus groups for each identified group will be convened to discuss facilitators and barriers to providing firearm suicide prevention education.
