AFSP makes the support group listings directory for suicide loss survivors available as a public service and does not run, recommend, endorse, or fund any of the groups listed. In addition, we do not monitor individual groups and only update information as it is made available to us by the facilitators and/or sponsoring organizations.

The group meets continuously throughout the year. Meetings are held The group meets in "cycles" of * meetings over the course of 2-3 months. New cycles begin periodically throughout the year
All are welcome. Depending upon interest, we may decide to meet based on relationship loss (widows, mothers, siblings).
This group is closed, which means that new members may join only at specific times or under certain circumstances.
A brief preliminary interview is required for all new members before starting the group- please email me at [email protected] so we can set up a good time to talk.

Coping After Suicide, LLC
The group is professionally- led and intimate in size, so everyone has plenty of time to share. In addition to the comfort and understanding of peer support, there are also of experiential and psycho-educational pieces, so you’ll come away with a wide range of tools and coping strategies- everything from learning what the research says about suicide, to book recommendations, to a quick and effective technique for handling moments of emotional overwhelm. We meet in midtown Manhattan, close to MoMA and the Hilton Hotel (exact location provided prior to the first meeting)
