The 2017 Survivor Day program hosted by Heartache2Hope will consist of screenings of The Journey: A Story of Healing and Hope and The Journey Revisited, a new follow-up featurette to the original film, which checks in with several of the Journey participants to see where they are now, and how the last few years have changed them and their healing process.
Check-in for the event begins at 4 p.m., and the first film will be shown at approximately 4:20 p.m. The film screenings will include a time for discussion and camaraderie. Light dinner and refreshments will be served. This event is for any community members who have been affected by the loss of a loved one due to suicide. Please note, the films are appropriate for most middle and high school–aged children to watch with a guardian. They’re not intended for children under 12, or for children or adolescents who are currently struggling or suicidal. Guardians, please use your best judgment when deciding whether to let those in your care view the films.
