Volunteer Spotlight: Camila Pulgar, on the Family of Loved Ones with Lived Experience

Dec. 20, 2019 – Camila Pulgar, of the AFSP North Carolina Chapter, discusses the importance of not forgetting to take care of yourself when caring for a loved one with mental health issues or suicidal ideation. Camila also shares a valuable reminder to both those who may be struggling, and those loved ones who are trying to help them: you are not alone.

These stories, filmed at our 2018 Chapter Leadership Conference in Charlotte, N.C., feature volunteers from our AFSP Chapters nationwide. To get involved, find your local chapter and check out the volunteer opportunities at the array of programs and events offered year-round!
