AFSP Southern California Tri-Counties

The work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those who have lost someone to suicide.

About the AFSP Southern California Tri-Counties Chapter

The Board of Directors of AFSP’s Orange County Chapter and Inland Empire/Desert Cities Chapter is pleased to announce combining our two chapters to create the Southern California Tri-Counties Chapter.

This new combined chapter offers several benefits:

  • Increased Resources: Combining resources such as funding, volunteers, and staff can enhance the overall capacity to deliver programs and services effectively.
  • Expanded Reach: The merger can help extend the reach of suicide prevention efforts to a larger geographic area, ensuring more communities have access to vital resources and support.
  • Unified Efforts: A single, larger chapter can streamline operations and reduce duplication of efforts, leading to more cohesive and efficient program delivery.
  • Enhanced Collaboration: Bringing together diverse teams and perspectives can foster innovation and improve the quality of initiatives aimed at preventing suicide.
  • Stronger Advocacy: A larger, unified chapter can have a more significant impact on advocacy efforts, influencing public policy and raising awareness on a broader scale.
  • Community Engagement: The merger can create more opportunities for community involvement and partnerships, strengthening local support networks.

These benefits collectively contribute to a more robust and effective approach to suicide prevention in Orange County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County. Please feel free to reach out with any questions to Beth Cole, Area Director, Southern California Tri-Counties Chapter with any questions at [email protected] or by phone at 657-554-2371.

More about our Chapter

Whether your interest is in outreach programs, educational events, advocacy efforts, or fundraising strategies, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the way that is most important to you. Sign up here to volunteer.

The grassroots work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.

As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, we bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Families and friends who have lost someone to suicide, vulnerable individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community/business leaders, and many others energize our chapter.
