AFSP Utah
The work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those who have lost someone to suicide.
About the AFSP Utah Chapter
Our grassroots efforts are dedicated to preventing loss of life from suicide through various initiatives. We offer innovative prevention programs, provide education on risk factors and warning signs, fundraise for suicide research and programs, and support individuals who have experienced the loss of someone to suicide.
As part of AFSP's expanding nationwide network of chapters, we unite individuals from all backgrounds to combat suicide in our communities. Our chapter is energized by families and friends affected by suicide, at-risk individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community and business leaders, and others. The Utah Chapter, established in 2010, has made significant progress over the last 14 years.
We are committed to our mission of saving lives and offering hope to those impacted by suicide. Our chapter organizes seven community walks across the state each fall and is hosting the inaugural Hike for Hope in May. We train communities in gatekeeper programs and support those touched by suicide through outreach initiatives. Our chapter actively engages in advocacy efforts at the state and national levels. We invite you to join us in being the voice to help stop suicide.
