The Return to In-Person Walks
After spending much of 2020 hosting virtual events, we welcomed the opportunity to safely retrun to in-person Community Walks in fall 2021. During the months of September, October, and November, AFSP Tennessee hosted seven Out of the Darkness Community Walks across the state.
Over those seven walks, nearly 2,000 Tennesseans walked as a sign of hope and healing, and together we raised over $200,000 for suicide prevention. Our Walk Season would not be possible without our dedicated Walk Chairs, Committee Members, and Volunteers, who worked tirelessly to ensure our community had a meaningful place to remember loved ones, walk in solidarity, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Where we walked in 2021:
Septmber 18th - Coffee County
October 2nd - Knoxville
October 3rd - Chattanooga
October 17th - ETSU
October 23rd - Memphis
October 30th - Nashville
November 6th - Jackson
Thank you to everyone who walked with us - we look forward to seeing you again in fall 2022!
