On July 26th, DC101 and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) National Capital Area Chapter (NCAC) joined together to host a kickoff party, featuring Judah & The Lion, to celebrate the 2024 Washington D.C. Out of the Darkness Walk season!
From 3 - 8 PM, Out of the Darkness walkers, sponsors, and AFSP volunteers gathered together at District E to enjoy good friends, good music, good food, and good times - all for a great cause! Throughout the afternoon, DC101's Mike Jones broadcasted live from the event, interviewing members of the AFSP-NCAC to raise awareness for the AFSP's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide and the D.C. Walk on air. Guests enjoyed a complimentary buffet, learned about AFSP programs and resources, won prizes, and rocked out to a very special live performance by Judah and the Lion! See Video Here
AFSP-NCAC would like to extend an extra special thank you to DC101 and Judah & The Lion for making this event possible!
