The NJ Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is pleased to support the VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) by sharing its Suicide Prevention QR Code. This QR Code has been created to increase access to local suicide prevention resources, reduce access to lethal means, and connect Veterans, service members, and families with services. We know that Veteran suicide is a complex issue where not one single solution, organization, person, or intervention on its own will reduce Veteran suicides.
The QR will direct you to our VANJHCS Suicide Prevention Webpage, here you can find:
- Free SAVE Training
- Free PSYCH ARMOUR Training
- Gun Locks
- Educational materials
- Information on Free medication Disposal at your local VA
- Crisis Hotline
- Local VANJHCS Suicide Prevention support contacts
Our chapter knows this work is essential to ensure that social determinants of health and disparities within communities are at the forefront and efforts are representative of the array of groups that can benefit from or are interested in supporting suicide prevention among Veterans.
