West Virginia suicide prevention plans and initiatives

West Virginia’s suicide prevention activities are led by Prevent Suicide WV, West Virginia’s statewide suicide prevention program funded through the Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH) and Bureau for Public Health within the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Prevent Suicide WV provides education, consultation and technical assistance services, intervention, follow-up, and support services for West Virginians as it relates to suicide risk and loss. The updated West Virginia Strategic Plan for Suicide Prevention 2021-2024 is available on the Suicide Prevention Resource Center’s website here.
