Question: Can treatment of an underlying central nervous system neurometabolic disorder reduce suicidal behavior?

Strategy: Compare adolescents who have a history of suicide attempt and refractory depression with nonsuicidal adolescents on an extensive neurometabolic evaluation.

Impact: Improve clinical practice in the diagnosis and treatment of adolescents at risk for suicide
