Inside the Research
Question: Does sensitivity to social rejection predict suicidal ideation and behavior?
Strategy: Hospitalized depressed adolescent suicide attempters and non-attempters will engage in a peer feedback task while an electroencephalography (EEG) measures brain function. There will be one and three month follow-up assessments.
Impact: A task-based marker of suicide risk may improve clinical decision-making.
