Question: How do suicidal ideation and self-harm behavior transition to suicidal behavior?
Strategy: Using the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children, adolescents ages 16 to 21 are studied. Variables include suicidal ideation, self-harm behavior and associated risk factors.
Impact: Inform concepts of the transition from ideation and self-harm to suicidal behavior.
