When writing about your loved one, consider sharing stories about a special time you had with them; talk about their personality, their interests. In addition, be sure to follow these guidelines:

  • Avoid mentioning your loved one’s method of death.
  • Avoid referring to any medications they may have taken by name.
  • Use discretion if you choose to disclose any mental health struggles you may have experienced in the wake of your loss.
