Corbin J. Standley, Ph.D.

Corbin J. Standley, Ph.D., is a community psychologist and researcher with more than a decade of experience in research, evaluation, and policy. His career has focused on public health and community-level approaches to suicide prevention through capacity building, equitable systems change, and policy change. He has published numerous research articles and book chapters and has presented his research at multiple national and international conferences. As the Senior Director of Impact Communication and Continuous Improvement at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), Dr. Standley leads the continuous improvement and evaluation of AFSP and partnership programs and initiatives; drives impact communication efforts to disseminate AFSP’s reach and impact; and lends his expertise to inform community, systems, and policy change efforts. Dr. Standley earned his doctoral degree in ecological-community psychology at Michigan State University (MSU) and holds a Master of Arts degree from MSU and Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Weber State University.
