We made our voices heard on Capitol Hill!  Hundreds of AFSP Volunteer Advocates gathered in person for the 17th Annual Advocacy Forum in May 2026 and the VT Chapter spoke with the offices of Sen. Sanders, Sen. Welch, and Congresswoman Balint about the Improving Servicemember Transition to Reduce Veteran Suicide Act (H.R.2878/S.2096), Stabilization to Prevent (STOP) Suicide Act (H.R. 8124), and the Barriers to Suicide Act (H.R. 3505). We’re advocating for federal policies that can save lives.
