The awards represent the work the volunteers who drive our mission are doing on Long Island, and the impact the efforts are making. Phil Bianco, Long Island Board Co-chair and the Long Island Walk Chair was in attendance to accept the award and was quoted " I am so proud of the progress the Long Island Chapter has been making in terms of the dollars we have been able to raise through our fundraising events, the educational programs we have been able to deliver in the Long Island community, the partnerships we have been developing, and the progress we have been making towards opening conversations about mental health and suicide prevention. As a volunteer driven organization, we are grateful for the passionate individuals, families and corporations who are taking action and using their voices to start conversations, educate, and take away stigmas associated with asking for help. Together, we are making an impact and saving lives."
