My name is Sergio de Chazal ( he, him, his ) I was born in Argentina and migrated to the US in 2000. I have 5 children from 11 to 27 years old. I dedicated my whole life to teaching and education especially my passion for Suicide Prevention. I became certified 8 years ago in Youth Mental Health First Aid and have had the opportunity and privilege to teach hundreds of classes in Utah. Last year he received the National Council award for being one of the instructors who taught the most Youth Mental Health First Aid courses. For years it has been my dream to teach at least 1,500 people each year, as in Utah 4,538 attempt to die by suicide. Now that I have joined AFSP, I believe it can become a reality.
