MISSION MOMENT: Stick It To Stigma

December 7, 2024 – Springfield, MA: The AFSP Massachusetts Chapter recently participated in the Springfield Thunderbirds' 9th Annual Teddy Bear Toss night! Volunteers and staff hosted an outreach table during the game before a sellout crowd of 6,793 inside the Thunderdome. After the T-Birds scored their first goal against the Rockford IceHogs, HOPE Bear was launched onto the ice. The event collected a record number of 7,162 stuffed animals, all of which will be gifted to underprivileged youth in the Springfield and Western Mass communities. After a very exciting game, the T-Birds went into OT and emerged victorious!
