National Capital Area Chapter Celebrates Four AFSP National Awards

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s 19th annual Chapter Leadership Conference took place January 25-28, 2024 in Orlando, Florida. Each year, CLC brings together volunteers from our local chapters across the country to share thoughts and ideas, consider our accomplishments, and inspire each other to move our mission forward. All 74 local AFSP chapters were represented with 363 in-person attendees, including several members of the National Capital Area Chapter's (NCAC) Board of Directors and staff.
On the final evening of the conference was the Awards Banquet where Chapters were recognized for outstanding performance. We are excited to share that the NCAC was recognized with four AFSP National Awards:
- Chapter of the Year: Large Market
- Outstanding Chapter Public Relations
- #7 Top Fundraising Walk: Washington, D.C.
- Century Club Walk: Fairfax, VA
The AFSP-NCAC thanks our chapter leadership, volunteers, participants, donors, sponsors, fundraisers, community partners, and everyone who supported the NCAC in 2023. These awards are a direct reflection of your hard work and dedication to our lifesaving mission and, without you, they would not be possible.
