AFSP Southern California Tri-Counties
The work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those who have lost someone to suicide.
About the AFSP Southern California Tri-Counties Chapter
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Southern California Tri-Counties Chapter serves Orange County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County with one shared mission: to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
As part of AFSP’s nationwide network of chapters, we are building a stronger, more connected community of volunteers, advocates, survivors, mental health professionals, educators, students, business leaders, and supporters who are passionate about suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Together, we are creating meaningful impact across our region through education, advocacy, support, and community engagement.
Our chapter is focused on expanding local programming and increasing access to suicide prevention education in the communities we serve. Through programs for schools, workplaces, community groups, and the public, we aim to create a culture that is smart about mental health and empowered to have lifesaving conversations.
We are also continuing to grow and strengthen our volunteer network, providing more opportunities for individuals to get involved in outreach, advocacy, fundraising events, survivor support initiatives, and awareness campaigns. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and help bring AFSP’s mission to life throughout Southern California.
From our Out of the Darkness Walks and community events to grassroots fundraising and advocacy efforts, the Southern California Tri-Counties Chapter is proud to unite three counties under one vision: stronger together, connected by hope, and committed to preventing suicide.
The work we do supports AFSP’s core mission of funding scientific research, educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention, advocating for lifesaving policies, and supporting those affected by suicide.
