Our chapter is growing and volunteers are needed to help advance our mission in a variety of areas:
- Prevention Education:
- Help bring suicide prevention education to schools, organizations, businesses, faith-based organizations, and everyone communities across the state!
- Learn how to present AFSP's signature prevention education.
- Volunteer to set-up an AFSP resource table at a health fair or community event.
- Help plan a Research Connections
- Join our Programs and Education Chapter Committee and use your expertise to grow programs.
- Make connections and help us bring suicide prevention education to schools, organizations, and more!
- Out of the Darkness Walks, Special Events, & Fundraising:
- Start or join a team to raise funds and awareness for our mission.
- Join an event committee and help grow our Walks. Help with logistics, entertainment, event promotions, team recruitment, and more!
- Become an event sponsor.
- Join our chapter Fundraising Committee to help fuel our mission.
- Help secure grants and major donations.
- Start a DIY event in your community.
- Advocacy and Public Policy:
- Become a Field Advocate and use your voice to speak out for suicide prevention.
- Join the Advocacy and Public Policy committee to help make a larger impact in the fight against suicide.
- Learn about AFSP's Public Policy priorities here.
- Loss & Healing
- Learn how to safely share your story with others impacted by suicide.
- Help plan an International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event.
- Become a Healing Conversations volunteer and support loss survivors.
