Employee Engagement & Workplace Giving

AFSP offers companies meaningful, mission-driven ways to engage their workforce while supporting mental health and suicide prevention in communities nationwide.

With hundreds of Out of the Darkness Walks, education programs, awareness events, and volunteer opportunities taking place across all 50 states, employees can get involved in hands-on, community-centered activities that foster connection, purpose, and wellbeing.

Workplace giving programs further empower employees to support AFSP in simple, impactful ways. Many organizations allow staff to direct a portion of their paycheck to the charity of their choice, making ongoing support easy and accessible. Employees can contact their Human Resources department to learn what giving options are available.

Companies can support AFSP through a variety of workplace giving and engagement avenues, including:

  1. Payroll Deduction: Seamless, automatic contributions that help sustain AFSP’s life-saving work.
  2. Workplace Giving Campaigns: Month-long or seasonal efforts that unite teams around a shared cause.
  3. Matching Gifts: Employers can match employee donations—doubling or even tripling their impact.
  4. Volunteer Grants: Corporate contributions generated through employees’ volunteer hours with AFSP.
  5. Donation Stipends: Company-provided funds that employees can direct to the nonprofit of their choice.
  6. Federal Employees: AFSP can be designated in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) using agency code 10545.

Together, we can inspire meaningful involvement, support employee wellbeing, and strengthen communities with greater awareness, compassion, and hope.
