Judaism and Suicide Loss: Providing Specialized Support for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day

Supplementing local events for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day in 2022, AFSP featured two national, online events. These special presentations have been recorded, and are available to watch now:

Día de Esperanza (Day of Hope) offered support specifically for Hispanic and Latinx communities that have been affected by suicide loss. The event featured a panel discussion highlighting the powerful stories and learnings of Hispanic and Latinx suicide loss survivors.

Survivor Day Live featured a screening of the AFSP-produced documentary Pathways to Healing: Hope after Suicide Loss, followed by a discussion with several loss survivors, exploring their experiences and what set them on a pathway toward healing. Topics of discussion included coping strategies, trying to find closure, and grappling with loss over the holidays.

If you’ve lost someone to suicide, you are not alone. Learn what resources are available for to help you heal.
