Tell us a little bit about your background – personal and/or professional.

I work at UCF as an administrative assistant. I have been participating in AFSP events for many years, and recently started to volunteer at the Central Florida chapter.

What city do you call home?

Oviedo, FL

Where did you grow up?

Northern Virginia

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Reading, Woobles, and being in the water

Why did you become involved with AFSP? 

I am both an attempt survivor and a suicide loss survivor; I simply wish that no one ever has to be in either of those places.

What was your first introduction to AFSP?

I participated in the 2013 Overnight walk in DC

What is one of the most important things you would share with the community about AFSP?

The community that the AFSP chapters cultivate with survivors has been monumental in my grieving process and I recommend making those connections as soon as you are able.

Anythying else you'd like to share?

I am slowly building the largest collection of Tanith Lee stories

 What might someone be surprised to learn about you?

I love kung-fu movies

What are three unexpected items in your office?

Crocheted balloon animal, an UNO flip deck, and a fan from a coworker's visit to Spain
