AFSP Idaho
The work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those who have lost someone to suicide.
About the AFSP Idaho Chapter
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Idaho Chapter is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide across Idaho. As part of a nationwide network, we work to create connection, provide education, support those impacted by suicide, and ensure that no one feels alone in their struggle.
- Across communities throughout Idaho, we are focused on:
- Expanding education programs like Talk Saves Lives and other evidence-based trainings
- Supporting individuals, families, and communities impacted by suicide
- Growing advocacy efforts that promote mental health and suicide prevention
- Bringing people together through community events and Out of the Darkness Walks
Idaho is built on strong communities, resilience, and people who care deeply for one another. From larger cities to rural communities, we are committed to building meaningful local connections and increasing access to suicide prevention education, support, and resources across the state.
We are actively growing our volunteer network and would love for you to be part of it. Whether you are interested in helping with events, supporting programs, assisting with outreach, sharing your story, or stepping into a leadership role, there is a place for you here.
